History
I-395 was a result of the creation of the Interstate Highway System. The first section opened in 1959 between I-95 and Main Street (US 1A), with the bridge and bypass of Brewer opened in 1986.
Guide - under construction
The small (0.2 mile) section of freeway between I-95 and Odlin Road (US 2) is not officially part of I-395, but is unnumbered.
