History
Route 104 came into existence in 1965 as a replacement for the former Route 24. In 1976, its routing between Hartland and Cloverdale was switched with that of Route 575; so that it now passes through Cloverdale instead of Pole Hill, and connects directly to the Trans-Canada Highway.
