History

Route 124 was commissioned in 1965, replacing the former Route 40.

Guide

Route 124 crosses a free cable-stayed ferry at Evandale. There are several of these along the Saint John River system between Fredericton and Saint John, but Evandale's is the only one to carry a numbered highway across.
