Guide
Highway 118 is the main access from the
north to the MacDonald Bridge and downtown Halifax. It is a
controlled-access divided highway from the 102 to the 111 in Dartmouth,
beyond which it becomes Woodland Avenue, a surface street. Although
northbound Woodland Avenue is signed "TO 118", it is, according to TPW
documents, an official part of the route. Woodland Avenue ends at
Victoria Road north of downtown Dartmouth, where access to the MacDonald
Bridge is provided from another intersection with Nantucket Avenue
several blocks to the east.
