San Diego switch
The San Diego market will likely switch to the Chiefs game. Then they will air a late game on FOX with no early FOX game. They may go with the Seattle @ Oakland game.
The LA and Palm springs market need to switch games to an early game…they will likely go with the Denver-San Fran game from London.
The other California markets(Bakersfiled, Yuma, AZ) can opt to stay with the San Diego game.
@ DJP
Can Palm Springs still switch to Oakland?
@Gerardo
It’s possible.
Also, still looks like we’re getting San diego(checked our station)
@ paco
How?
While we’re into hopeful thinking, is it possible for the Cleveland area to get the Titans game?
San Diego now getting London game..
@Gerardo
I meant the station could still switch to that game.
Why is CBS sending their #1 broadcast team to a game featuring two last place teams? It makes no sense why CBS and FOX has to kiss the Cowboys’ ass every time they get their games by sending their top broadcast team there.
The stations are free to switch….now you need to lobby your station on where to switch to.
I figured San Diego would go to the Kansas City game…but looking at there schedule there next home game is against Denver in a few weeks.
They only game Palm Springs and LA cant air is the San Diego game.
I dont see cleveland switching games…remember cincinnati is in their division so you would get more viewers than the station would if they aired tennessee-san diego game.
#1 team is on JAX @ DAL….because its Dallas…love em or hate em they are popular and draw people to watch the game. Since they only have them at most 2 times a year…they send the #1 team to that game.
In the New York market you posting is incorrect. You state that Jacksonville at Dallas will be shown on CBS at 1:00. That game can’t be on because the Jet’s are at home,at the same time. CBS can’t show a game against the home team. The Green Bay Jet game will be on FOX, for non Cablevision customers at 1:00. Tenn. at San Diego should be on CBS at 4:00.
Rich, he has it correct. You are obviously misreading the map. NYC is listed as Tennessee-San Diego.
@Rich
Philadelphia market is airing the Jacksonville-Dallas game.
Really LA gets the Dallas game???? Pathetic.
Jacksonville @ Dallas does have the #1 crew…..
The defending Super Bowl Champs Saints only got 1 game on CBS this season and they didn’t get the A-Crew of Nantz and Simms last week. Heck, they still have yet to get the Fox A-Crew of Buck and Aikman this season.
That’s why Cowboys need to keep on losing so Fox and CBS will eventually give up on them.

I would of thought that the stations in Cleveland, Columbus, Youngstown, Lima, and Toledo would switch to the Broncos vs. 49ers game because of Ohio State Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith is going to start for the 49ers at quarterback.
@Greg Leadbetter
I see Columbus switching for sure with him being the starter because his hometown is Columbus.
This will likely be his only start because next week are the 49ers bye so they expect Alex Smith to start for them in that game.
Thing is he isnt a rookie anymore so people forget. Had he been a first round pick this year they would. Usually the college tv markets cover some of the games of their star senior from last year during his rookie year.
Why on earth aren’t the 49ers-Broncos being shown in Bakersfield???
I realize they’re both lousy but there are Niner fans in Bako. Give us a break!
Why did my ominous prediction come true. I am very dissapointed CBS 2 looks past airing the London game between two western teams, for a game between the Jags/Cowboys on paper that looks much worse, and neither has a chance to make the playoffs, and now I have to face the terrible reality of wishing the Chargers game had been sold-out. I feel very disheartened to now have to watch the Broncos/49ers game on my computer.
I’m shocked that the Dallas game is not being shown in Albuquerque, NM. Usually every Cowboy game (including preseason) is shown here.
@Astorian…
remember this Dallas game is on CBS…Denver trumps Dallas on CBS.
WTF WHY DOES PALM SPRINGS AREA GET DALLAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm, why does our local station still showing the Chargers?(Palm Springs)
@Gerardo
The station hasnt updated its listings. Palm Springs CAN NOT air the Chargers game.
Secondary makrets (Plam Springs) can not show a loal teams home game if the game did not sell out within 72 hrs.
Similar with Detroit…Detroit’s secondary markets (Lansing, flint, Toledo) must show a different game. But the farther out stations not covered by secondary market status can show the game.
Can’t watch the Chiefs in St. Louis? The local CBS affiliate is running PAID PROGRAMMING instead of the early NFL game. Unbelievale.
@XianDave
NFL tv rules prohibit it because St Louis is a sell out.
Sincce St Louis is a sell out its home game is aired exclusivly on TV with no other game on at that time (exception is in week 1).
thus they are forced to take the 4pm CBS game.
@ DJP
I don’t know why, but I sent my station a leeter, and they changed the Cowboys game to the 49ers game
With the huge Cowboy base here in the Charlotte NC area, I’m surpised the game isn’t on here? Why is it on almost everywhere but here? Charlotte is so close to DC and therefore produced a lot of skins fans before the panthers ever existed. And then a large cowboy base grew in opposition to that. Every cowboy panther game here feels like a home game.
Charlotte seems to often be the odd game compared to the rest of the states. Wonder why?
@Gerardo….is that what you wanted? What market is yours?
The London game is a special event and should be nationally televised. In fact, I have assumed it would be, since the schedule was released and since the previous London games were all nationally televised. Why the heck can I not watch the London game? I have been looking forward to this game for half a year!
Warren, the Wembley game itself has ALWAYS been regionally broadcast.

2008: http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2008-08-CBS.html
2009: http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2009/07-CBS.html
For at least the past couple of years, however, CBS has shown the kickoff of the Wembley game before cutting to the other games. The only international game ever to be nationally shown was the 2005 game in Mexico City that was on ESPN.
Directed at everyone who comments, it’s quite shocking how many people assume their CBS or Fox affiliate is just trying to screw their Sunday over by showing a bad game. There are rules, people. Know them before you comment.

I asked the Indianapolis affiliate about switching to the Broncos/49ers game and I got a reply that they were unable to do so.
Did they mean unable or unwilling? Is there a rule?
What is the NFL rule that prohibits showing the GB/NYJ game in Dallas? We’re one of the only areas not getting 2 early games. =(
@Bob
Actually…last years Bills game in toronto was on a Thursday game on the NFL Network. So that make it a national game.
I totally agree the London game is been a regional game and has not been on the doubleheader network.
What they should do is use that game and play it on a Monday night and use that as a doubleheader on ESPN. If the schedule is expanded and the start the season over Labor Day weekend or earlier they could have this early game on Labor day with say a 3pm ET start time followed by a 7pm Et start time for a later game.
Anyone know if Miami @ Baltimore is the main 1:00 game in Week #9. I know that the Indy/Philly game in the late slot is the main overall game on CBS next week.
@Matt4163
Its hard to tell….
with the early games New england @ Cleveland and Jets @ Detroit will air in much of the northeast and midwest.
San Diego @ houston will air in much of Texas and the Southwest to california and picked up by divisional team of both.
Miamia @ blatimore will be much of the Southeast and the atlantic coast.
The NW is the harder one to say.
Seattle will be the only market to not get a late game that will be the FOX filler for the AFC road teams and AFC home teams. this will get the #1 team…if not then the #2.
for the late game…Kansas City @ Oakland and Indy @ Philladelphis will be an est west split.
For FOX I think Tampa Bay @ Atlanta may be the national game for 1pm…..but with many markets taking the late game.
a big variable in this is what team gets Randy Moss.
