@Pemory
I think they look at the 49ers game as being a blow out.
They also think the Redskins are on the down side so the Giants game would also be a blow out.
However with Chicago @ Detroit you have a good team against a team who might be poor now but is on the upside.
Chicago’s @B is Jay Cutler who people in the rocky mountain states are very familiar with with him being Denvers QB before being traded to Chicago.
Plus chicago-Detroit is a game involving historic teams too.
@ Mr. P.O’d
Bang on. Fox defies logic again. WA state should also be seeing the SF-GB game. At least the NFC East game is being shown there.
DJP, historic or not, upside or downside, it is definitely the wrong game in many areas. The other two games mentioned have all those teams in the thick of a playoff race and trying to get a better position. Sure the NFC North game is historic but so is the East game with a lot riding on it. The Lions are not making the playoffs and they were showcased on Thanksgiving.
@Naqdop
I mentioned from the start I figured San Fran @ green bay would be in much of the west.
I live in the Pac NW where the Giants-Skins game will air. Next season the west fdivisions play the east divisions. Seattle played the Giants earlier this season where they got blown out….if they were still on the schedule then this game makes sense…now…no.
I think the San Fran game should be on the air because:
1. San Fran is a division team in the race for the division title (they are only one game back)
2. Green Bay if they are a wild card team (say Chicago wins the division)…they could play at seattle……Green Bay would be the top wild card team #5 seed….who would play at the #4 seed who would be the west divsion champions.
Why is TX, OK, WA, NM, OR watching the Giants and Skins? I hate how they always force the New York games around the country.
wtf,why didn’t San Antonio switch to NO@CIN?
@JTDub
Texas because this is a game involving Cowboys fellow divisional teams. NM carries what Dallas carries, same true for OK.
the NW should have stayed with the 49ers @ Packers game.
