Wow quite an interesting distribution map that i have ever seen for an MLB game. Half the nation gets the Red-Sox game, and the other half of the nation gets the Cubs game. Seems to me this week’s baseball game has somethin “more” at stake to play for.
But I thought Dick Stockton has an NBA playoff game to announce this Saturday too?
why couldnt they just call-up Joe Buck to announce the Red Sox game???
I wonder what’s going to be like for the primetime games for the rest of the month.

I know it’s a minor thing, but it’ll be interesting if you did a regional map for MLB Network baseball games.. Tonight for instance there’s an interesting split…
Here in Charlotte, last night both MLB Network games were in our blackout area thanks to the MASN insistance that we don’t get Nationals or Orioles in this market because they think cable companies in North Carolina should be watching DC/Baltimore sports….uggggh…
I Think fox should have put the Rays at the O”s game in most of the A l markets .The twins at red sox game should be only in the New England and upper mid west markets. The Reds at Cubs should shown in all the N l markets. Fox and Mlb does not what they are doing. You cant shown 2 team that below 500 .In most of the Al markets.
It’s odd to me that Charlotte, NC is in the Reds’ tv territory and FOX still won’t show the Reds game there.

I think it’s a bit ridiculous that Roanoke, Richmond and Norfolk are showing the Red Sox/Twins over the IN-MARKET Rays/Orioles.
Leave it to FOX to whore themselves to the Red Sox. I was almost half expecting them to show Twins/Red Sox in DC considering their usual policies.
ESPN/ABC has the Saturday games this weekend.
I’m surprised that Fox didn’t have Mark Grace pair up with Thom Brennaman for the Reds/Cubs game. I mean Grace used to play for the Cubs, so I would think he would be a fan favorite there, and he used to work with Thom Brennaman on Diamondbacks telecasts a few years ago. Also if you guys have MLB At Bat 11 on your Android OS phone, there is a way to get around the blackouts. First install the app “CatchMeIfYouCan”, then go to Settings>Applications>Development. Once on Development, select “Allow Mock Locations”. Then on “CatchMeIfYouCan” select a city that isn’t affected by the blackout. Sometimes you do have to turn the phone off and on a couple of times to make it work. But needless to say I’ve been always able to make it work. As of right now, my phone is “vacationing” in Ensenada even though I’m in San Diego.
Joe Buck will be back next week because Boston plays New York and he is a whore for both New Yorkers and Bostoners, the two worst types of people in America.
