Current listings for WDKY 56 (FOX) in Lexington, KY say 49ers @ Falcons, not Panthers @ Saints as indicated on the map.
gee I wonder why Lubbock, TX is opting to take SF @ Atlanta…denver picking it up because they play sf later….Lubbock is because there may be a crabtree sighting.
Oklahoma is going with the st louis game because of Bradford.
If San Fran wasnt 0-2 SoCal would have picked up that game.
I wouldnt be surprised if Miami, Boston, and New York switch to Detroit-green Bay because the AFC East plays those teams.
I think AZ will switch to Carolina @ new orleans because Cardinals play the NFC South this year.
Why is KDVR (Denver) listed in Montana and Wyoming?
FOX 10 in Arizona is listing Seahawks at Rams as early game. Both teams in Cardinals division.
Any chance Indio, CA(so. cal) will get Green Bay?
Apparently, WXIX 19 in Cincinnati has confirmed Lions @ Packers early. Sadly, I see a blowout happening here. Should be Niners @ Falcons or Panthers @ Saints.
Shame on KTMF in Missoula for picking a game that’s bound to be a one-sided affair. Seattle/St. Louis is a better matchup.
Wouldn’t be suprised if Boston and a couple of other New England FOX affiliates switch to SF/ATL to showcase the Falcons QB Matt Ryan, then again CAR/NO invloves the defending Champs even though the game may be worse quality wise.
Don’t you think that the NFL generates enough profit that it should be able to allow the TV viewing audience to view any game they choose. This seems silly and childish for them to select what game you are or are not allowed to view.
Apparently, all the online listings services (Titantv, Zap2It, and TVGuide.com)all still say Panthers @ Saints. Where I saw The Lions @ Packers was the NFL on FOX Broadcast schedule link on WXIX 19’s website. We’ll see what happens.
Zap2It has WCCU/WRSP showing DET/GB, not SEA/STL.
Hm, but the WCCU site has SEA/STL. Mea culpa. We’ll see what they actually air
Once again the programmers at Fox think that for some odd reason, Hawaii and Alaska would rather see games that are more important to the Midwest and South than the West.
Hey Fox programmers, just because Hawaii is the Southern-most state does not mean it likes games show in southern states (Carolina and NO, Please!!), and just because Alaska is the futhest north does not automatically mean it wants to see GB and Detroit games.
Stop drawing a horizonal division line – draw a vertical line. Let us west coast states see games related to west coast divisions. The Seahawks and Rams game is a key NFC West game that those of us in Hawaii and Alaska would like to see. Come on people . . .
@ Brian…..
Denver station is picked up through Satelitte by parts of the panhandle of nebraska and south central wyoming. That part of nebraska the local cable picks up feeds from Denver, but some satelite companies air from Rapid City. That South central piece of Wyoming may have split coverage where one provider picks up Denver stations while the other provider picks up stations from cheyenne or casper.
The other sliver box in wyoming over Gillette is an error…it picks up Billings tv stations…That area in Montana through satelitte may get their stations from Denver…but its more likely from Billings or Great Falls. I think those two spots are in error.
Actually NE would be more likely to switch to detroit-green bay because new england plays both teams this season.
DJP, there’s probably very little interest in the DET/GB game around here the reason I thought Boston and a couple of other New England markets could show SF/ATL was because the Falcons over the last couple of years have been on around here when nothing was better on to air here so they could showcase the former BC QB. Anyway Zap2it now has CAR/NO on in all of New England.
It is really weird how the boundaries for some games are drawn up. Arizona, Utah, and Idaho should be getting the Hawks-Rams or SF-ATL. Michael is right that KSAZ is showing the Hawks-Rams game. Fox11 in Tuscon is showing the Packers. Why in the world is Southern Nevada and SE California getting the Panthers-Saints instead of the above games mentioned? Ridiculous.
If STL/SEA doesn’t sell out, will STL get an early game? What’s the rule on that?
@ BD
If the Rams don’t sell out, the FOX station in St. Louis then is not allowed to show a 1:00 game in its place since FOX has the DH. If FOX had only 1 game this week, then it could show a 1:00 game in case of a blackout.
DJP…thank you for your answer
There are more packer fans in fairbanks than any other team. That is why fairbanks shows the NFC North so much, but anchorage does not.
Just curious, when it says “FAIRBANKS, AK” does that mean all of Alaska or just that town?
Not that it matters all these games suck >_>
The website for WDKY 56 in Lexington, KY still says 49ers @ Falcons.
The website for WRGT 45 in Dayton, OH still says Panthers @ Saints.
I’ve sent an e-mail to both to clear up the confusion.
What an atrocious slate of games. Blech. I hate bye weeks.

WDKY 56 in Lexington confirms Panthers @ Saints.
@ Ichiban907
Alaska has two tv markets…Anchorage and Fairbanks….usually they stay on the same game…but sometimes they will split. The north part of the state gets Fairbanks and the south gets anchorage. Hawaii is just one station out of Honolulu which is sent throughout the state.
@BD…if ST Louis doesnt seel out then St Louis would only get 2 games…a 1pm and 4pm with one on each network.
Then the stations work together on what games to carry. Usually in the schedule..the non doubleheader network (this week CBS) has a good 1pm game…while the doubleheader network (FOX has a good late game.
Sometimes there are scheduling flukes where a surprise good teams happen to play in that 4pm token game shown in the opposite leagues market. This week the token games are indy-jax and houston-oakland
These games are televised in the NFC 1pm home game markets.
@DJP: Actually Alaska has three TV markets. Jeneau, AK serves the SouthEastern part of the state. It usually follows along with what Anchorage does.
UNBELIEVABLE, INDIO IS GETTING THE GREEN BAY GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Raider Rat
FOX only has affiliates in Anchorage and Fairbanks. Juneau does not have a FOX affiliate locally. There is a CBS station in Sitka and Ketchikan.

It is possible their is a local Juneau news broadcast done through the FOX station.
[...] If you are in St. Louis or the Pacific Northwest, obviously you will be getting the game, but additionally the corridor from St. Louis to Oklahoma City will also be getting the game. We can just call that the Sam Bradford corridor from now on. Check the map for detailed information. [...]
[...] of the country will be able to tune in to see the Lions take on the Green Bay Packers with the coverage map extending from western Ohio through the Rocky Mountain region and into parts of Idaho, Nevada, and [...]
What’s the deal with the tiny blip in Kentucky getting Carolina-New Orleans, while to the North they get Detroit-Green Bay, and to the South it’s blacked out (I’m guessing due to the Titans)? Is there really such a small market? Or is it an exclave of another market?
@Gregory
That market you are referencing…is bowling green Kentucky
Which covers the I-65 corridor to the KY/Tenn line.
I do think the map is incorrect. I think Bowling Green is larger.
In Kentucky you have Louisville and Lexington, Bowling Gren, Hazard, and Paducah-Ownensburg-Evansville, INM tv markets. The rest of the state is covered by border towns of Cincinati and Cape Girardeau.
I think a good part of that blacked out Kentucky area is actually covered by Kentucky stations—not nashville stations….either from Evamsville or from Bowling Green.
The TV scheduling at WRSP/WCCU Fox in Springfield, IL is still showing the SEA v STL game as their Sunday noon game. Is this right or what? If they aren’t showing it I have to go south to watch the game and would rather not if i don’t have to. They show the St.L game as being on in two different locations on their site…
http://www.foxillinois.com/entertainment/programming
and here which is a shcedule they put out every summer and has been right the last few years at least.
http://www.foxillinois.com/sports/schedule
Never mind, I talked to WRSP/WCCU directly and they said they VETOED the Fox national broadcast choice and are indeed showing the Rams v Seahawks game. In case anyone else cares.
@John
Local stations have the final say on what games to televise unless they are int he home teams market or are designated as secondary markets so they are required to televise road games.
Naturally markets are going to cover local teams…so in Springfield their closest teams are in Chicago and St Louis on FOX so they will naturally cover those games because they know those games will bring the most viewers and thus the most ad money they can generate.
Anybody know why on earth FOX would switch in Cincinnati (or for that matter, anywhere) from what is likely to be at least a decent game (CAR/NO) to a putrid game? Does anybody really want to watch the hello kitties get steamrolled by the cheeseheads?
For that matter, why were they CAR/NO originally? Was that in expectation of a better game before CAR started 0-3?
Surely if they really don’t want CAR/NO they could at least pick another decent game, like SF/ATL… right?
Can anyone explain the switch in Fort Myers, FL? Fort Myers: CAR-NO to DET-GB
The majority of the SE US is getting what should be a much better game CAR-NO to watch, instead of a probable blowout by the Packers. The closest market here is TB and CAR-NO are in their division. I just don’t get it!
This map is wrong for Boise, Idaho. I am looking at my TV and it clearly say’s Seahawks at Rams for early FOX game.
@FriarBob
Why Ft Myers would switch….
There is some local attachment to the game where a significant player on either team is from Ft Myers.
Remember Ft Myers are full of northern retirees who grew up in the midwest. So they want to see their teams growing up.
Detroit-Green Bay is an old school game of long time rivals
They viewed Saints-Panthers game as a blowout because the Pickle-head will be starting.
